THE
PRACTICE TEAM
PRACTICE
MANAGER
Deborah Pogorzelski will be able to help you with any administrative problems you may have with the way the practice is run. She is available to deal with your queries and comments in both person and on the telephone. An appointment is not always necessary.
PRACTICE
NURSES
The nurse team is led by Senior Practice Nurse Peni Fox; she has a team of three Practice Nurses and two Health Care Assistants.
The practice nurses are experts in many areas of disease management such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma. They will offer advice on many health matters. Please telephone the surgery to make an appointment.
HEALTH CARE ASSISTANTS
The two Health Care Assistants provide support for the doctors and practice nurses with the day to day tasks of patient care. They will carry out routine procedures such as taking blood pressure measurement, ECG's and urine tests.
PRACTICE
RECEPTIONISTS
Our receptionists
are fully trained and do a very difficult job well. Please remember
that if you need to be kept waiting or seem to be asked one or two irritating
questions, they are carrying out our policy, which is aimed at making
the practice run smoothly. They have to judge the urgency of requests
so please try to give the information they require. They have been told
to elicit this, and are not being nosey. They are bound by the same
rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.
COMMUNITY
NURSES
The community
or district nurses liaise closely with our doctors and practice nurses.
They visit patients in their own homes when it is impossible for them
to come to the surgery. All district nursing services are arranged by
the doctors or the local hospital. |
